Tomato Barley Soup

Bring the water to a boil in a large covered pot. Add remaining ingredients. Cook uncovered over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 1¼ hours or until barley is soft and soup is thick.

Ingredients:
- 2 qts. water
- 2 large cans tomatoes, crushed with your hands
- ¼ cup parsley, chopped
- 2 large onions, chopped
- ¼ cup oil
- ¼ t dried basil and dill
- ½ lb. barley
- salt and pepper to taste
