Christine Wentworth, Co-Founder of Stepping Stones
Passes Away at Age 32
Christine (Raimondi) Wentworth died July 31st at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Following her second (allogeneic) transplant last November for myelodysplasia, Christine had been experiencing severe Graft-Versus-Host disease (GVHd). At the time she passed away, she was fighting a massive infection that raged through her body. She had recently taken an immunosuppressant called Zenapax that seemed to be helping her GVHd.Christine was buried on August 4th in Glenwood Cemetery in South Natick, following a funeral at the parish church in which she was married three years before. She is survived by her spouse, John; parents Jeanne and Carl; siblings Carl Jr., Suzanne, and Jennifer, and their families; aunts, uncles, and of course her many friends and supporters in Stepping Stones.
As one of the founding members of Stepping Stones, Christine (Raimondi) Wentworth considered this group her greatest source of personal pride. Donations made to Dana-Farber in her memory will go to Stepping Stones, as was her wish. Donations can also be made to:
